Anne Hooton has 20 years of experience as a licensed mental health counselor beginning with community mental health at Catholic Charities and then moving on to correctional mental health on both state and county levels. She joined ACMHC part-time in 2015 and then became full-time January 2017. Her practice involves play therapy/working with children 4 years and older, individuals and couples (married or not), Corrections and Law Enforcement Officers and their families, Active (and Retired) Duty Military and their dependents, teens/tweens, and a variety of LGBT issues. Anne also accepts most Employee Assistance Plans (EAP) as well as most insurances for those 64 years old and under. She is a Pensacola native and her family has lived in this city for generations. In treatment, she utilizes her education and years of experience to develop a plan with you to live a happy, mentally healthy way of life. Anne will assist you to develop good coping skills, positive comfort zones, increased self-worth, anger management skills, and relaxation techniques.
