INFANTS & TODDLERS

THE BENEFITS OF SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT LAST A LIFETIME.

Research continues to show the long lasting effects of positive social and emotional development in infancy and early childhood. Our infant mental health counselors are trained to work within the caregiver-child relationship to assist with healthy attachment and positive interaction with the goal of achieving a well-balanced and happy future for your littlest ones. Key areas of focus address behavioral issues and parenting skills to help prevent meltdowns, manage tantrums and create consistent routines that improve your baby’s well-being.

TYPES OF INFANT & TODDLER MENTAL HEALTH TREATMENT

At Adult & Child Mental Health Care, our trained clinicians address various mental health issues in infants and toddlers, such as behavioral problems, physical aggression, tantrums, trauma, and withdrawal. We utilize the Circle of Security International program along with specific infant mental health approaches to aid parents in understanding and managing their child’s behaviors through fun and interactive methods.

We recognize that new parents often face their own mental health challenges due to the demands of caring for young children. Our holistic approach supports both caregivers and children, focusing on adjusting to life with a new baby, enhancing parent-child attachment, and developing effective parenting skills. We provide practical methods to manage behaviors and create positive interactions, ensuring healthy development and stronger bonds.

CHILDREN

HELPING CHILDREN COMMUNICATE THEIR FEELINGS

Children often struggle to articulate their feelings, making it difficult for adults to understand their behavior. Recognizing that behavior has meaning is crucial. Our evidence-based, interactive techniques help children overcome emotional and behavioral challenges, aiming for a happier, well-balanced life. Adult & Child Mental Health Care clinicians assess environmental and psychological factors influencing behavior. They develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each child’s and family’s needs, ensuring targeted and effective support.
